The trade turnover between Russia and China exceeded for the first time one hundred billion dollars ©RIA Novosti

BEIJING, according to RIA Novosti. In mid-December last year, the trade turnover of Russia and China exceeded one hundred billion dollars, said the official representative of the Ministry of Commerce of China Gao Feng.

According to him, this figure has become a “historical record.” The final data will be published later.

Gao Feng stressed that Russia ranks first among China’s main trading partners in the growth of trade. Beijing continues to be the largest trading partner of Moscow, in turn, Russia ranks tenth in this indicator among China’s partners.

A ministry representative said that Beijing is ready to continue its efforts to develop Chinese-Russian relations.

According to the General Customs Administration of China, the trade turnover between the countries in January-November 2018 increased by 27.8 percent compared to the same period of 2017 and amounted to 97.23 billion dollars. Chinese exports to Russia grew by 12 percent, to 43.45 billion dollars, and imports from Russia – by 44.3 percent, reaching 53.78 billion dollars.
